bound for是指交通工具趨往的方向，而bound to (happen)是指某事幾乎確定將發生，如You're bound to fail if you don't study enough.

"Bound for" means traveling towards a place. "bound to (happen)" means almost certain to (happen), e.g. "You're bound to fail if you don't study enough". The train is bound to leave on time because the company has a reputation for punctuality.
